3D Nautical Wood Chart Maps: Whidbey & Camano Islands Topographic Art
Whidbey Island and Camano Island are two islands located in the middle of the north end of Puget Sound. Both are an easy drive north from Seattle. These rural islands are a great antidote for big city pressures. Visitors come to the islands for wide-open beaches, scenic vistas, outdoor adventures, great art, fine dining, and more. When you’re searching for unique gift ideas for the aquatic lover in your life, look no further than a Whidbey and Camano Islands wood nautical map.

Our laser cut charts are framed, crystal-clear acrylic covered, 3D bathymetric charts carved in Baltic Birch wood. These maps depict the shoreline and bottom contours of Whidbey & Camano Islands, and they show precise shorelines, depths, landmarks and lettering. Special finishing techniques bring out the natural grain of the Baltic Birch.

This is our second piece from Carved Lake Art, and it now hangs beside our first - the San Juans map. Both areas are significant for both my wife and me, and to have them represented in such a finely crafted, unique, and visually interesting way is something I really enjoy. A lot of wall art tends to fade into the background after a while, and ultimately go unnoticed. Not the case here. I find myself looking at these on a regular basis. Guests notice them and ask questions, and as my kids get older, I hope it will be a fun way for them to learn about our area. I’m a pretty frugal guy, but for the uniqueness and quality these were worth it, absolutely.
